Is Lyme disease worse for older people?
Typically, as people age their immune system can be less responsive so this may play a role in their disease symptoms and outcome compared to younger people. However, there is still a lot of research to be done in order to make any clear connection to whether or not being older has a negative impact on how they may be affected.
